Confirmation is an important part of the Catholic Faith journey. As part of the preparation for Confirmation, candidates will meet the first 3 Wednesdays of the month from 6:45 PM - 8:00 PM. The fourth Wednesday is a time for the candidates to work on the additional requirements of the Diocese that are not included in classes: saint report, letter to Bishop, service hours, meeting with sponsor, etc. As part of Confirmation preparation each candidate must complete a Confirmation retreat as well. Each student has the ability to make up a class by attending daily Mass, a Holy Hour, attending a conference or camp, completing makeup work that is sent out, etc.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is designed to teach the faith to those who have never been baptized or grew up in another faith.
The program is open to anyone who wishes to complete their sacraments of initiation or would like an overview of the Catholic Faith. Joining RCIA does not commit you to joining the Catholic Church. It is a process to help you explore what the Catholic Church has to offer. If you choose to complete the entire RCIA process, you will become a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church. For more information please contact Deacon Scott Pearce at deacon@saint-bernadette.org
